新年時節互相寄送「年賀狀」是日本人特有的文化，在明信片大小紙面上祝福新年、傳達過去一年的感謝之情並告知近況等，簡單來說就是問候新年的卡片。九年前JAM從日本來到台灣，因此也一起將年賀狀文化帶過來！由於一般年賀狀（賀年卡）的圖案多為當年生肖圖案，每年都可以看到大家對於生肖的有趣發想與表現。

參加募集印刷物規則為日式明信片尺寸（100x148mm），JAM限定印刷用厚紙種類任選，油墨顏色1～4色以內。孔版印刷的特色是類似版畫的印刷方式，錯位、油墨混色、上色不均，帶有許多不確定感，油墨層層堆疊的感覺，不完美卻有著獨特的風味。

雖然使用相同的孔版印刷方式，但完全不會看到一模一樣的作品，總是令人感到佩服！來看看這次馬年的60款作品，你喜歡哪一張呢？

Sending Nengajo (New Year's cards) to each other is a unique Japanese custom. These postcard-sized greetings convey New Year's wishes, express gratitude for the past year, and share recent updates—essentially, they're cards to welcome the New Year. Nine years ago, JAM brought this Nengajo culture from Japan to Taiwan! Typically, Nengajo designs feature the zodiac animal of the year, so every year you can enjoy the creative and amusing ideas people come up with for the zodiac.

The rules for participating in our print collection are simple: use Japanese postcard size (100x148mm), choose any of JAM's thick paper types, and use 1 to 4 ink colors. The charm of riso printing lies in its printmaking-like qualities—misregistration, ink mixing, and uneven coloring create a sense of delightful unpredictability. The layers of ink stacking up result in an imperfect yet uniquely flavorful aesthetic.

It's truly impressive how, even using the same riso printing method, no two pieces ever turn out exactly alike! Come see the 60 designs of Nengajo of the year of the horse we've collected this time. Which one is your favorite?

* "JAM Nengajo" is a print event exclusively planned by JAM Taiwan. It invites Taiwanese creators to submit their original riso-printed New Year's cards. Whether it's illustrations, comics, photographs, or text... any format is welcome! (The event's submitted works are sold together by JAM Taiwan and JAM Japan.)
